Malta Montessori SchoolJob DescriptionAssistant Elementary Teacher Full time Elementary Teacher Assistant position in Montessori available for end of 2012-2013 school year. Position starts April 8th and lasts until June 21st (11 weeks). Assistant teachers must have the ability to work as a member of a team, a willingness to learn, with lots of patience and love for children. Prior work experience with elementary age children is necessary, a degree in elementary education and Montessori experience preferred. The Assistant Teacher is responsible for aiding the classroom Head Teacher in the maintenance of a positive, safe and productive Montessori educational environment. The Assistant Teacher is to respect and support the Head Teacher; maintain the confidentiality of the classroom; cooperate in enforcing the ground rules; model grace and courtesy; refer parent inquiries to the Head Teacher; and dress appropriately.
